8K Mud Run
- Date: August 7, 2010
- Location: NAB Little Creek Base in Virginia Beach
- The race winds through sand dunes and a variety of coastal terrains which then leads to obstacles such as a low crawl, a 5 foot wall and a series of beach barricades and mud pits before coming into the homestretch to a Misting Tent. Designed and built by Sea Bee's, CBMU 202, this course is full of sand, mud and a lot of fun! There is no race day registration so register early! -the race is capped at 2,500 entrants.

Rock and Roll Half Marathon
- Date: Sunday September 5, 2010 at 7:00 AM
- Location: Virginia Beach Convention Center; 1000 10th St.
- The course features 15 stages for live music and post-race activities include a finish line beach party and a headliner concert on the sand.

Sandman Triathlon

Information: The Sandman Triathlon is a sprint triathlon consisting of a 1K ocean swim, a 13 mile bike on a flat course and a 5K run on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Numerous age group awards, weight division awards as well as awards for the Open Division will be presented.
Wicked 10K

- Race Information: 8 AM the 10K race, 10 AM the Monster Mile, 9-12 PM Post race bash, 10:30 AM Costume contest awards.

Interested in meeting other local hiking enthusiasts? If so, this organization is full of mountain-clibers through beginers. You can join to get exercise or for the social aspect of it. Multiple events are planned monthly to encourage people to get together to view the scenery and hike.

- SOME ALTERNATE OPTIONS:
- Take a stroll down the Virginia Beach Boardwalk- 3 Miles each direction
- Bad Weather? Consider taking your walking shoes up to your local mall- the mall is open for indoor walking before and during store hours.
- Consider a gym membership. It is getting close to the season to make a New Year’s Resolution; most work-out facilities are starting to discount memberships.
- Rent or Purchase a new Work-Out DVD. The public library has an endless number of video’s to try that are very inexpensive.
- Physical Activity is a great way to socialize with others; consider grabbing some friends or class-mates and trying a new sport! Sand volley-ball, soccer, tennis, bike-riding, racquetball, rollerblading / ice-skating. The options are ENDLESS!!!!
