Tricare Prime & Standard
(Dependents and Retirees Only*)

Tricare Prime: A referral is required from your Primary Care Manager (PCM) and HealthNet must approve services prior to your initial visit. Doctor visits, and Lab services are filed to Tricare by TWB; Tricare Prime patients pay a copay based on Tricare’s policy.

Tricare Standard: No referral is necessary. Doctor visits, and Lab services are filed to Tricare as a courtesy by TWB; Tricare Standard patients pay TWB up front for services and Tricare will reimburse the patient for covered services.

*Currently, Tricare does not cover services rendered to Active Duty Members.

Other major Commercial Insurance Carriers (Aetna, BC/BS, Optima, etc)

TWB currently does not file claims with other Insurance carriers. Receipts can be provided with all the necessary diagnosis and service codes in order for patients to file their own claims.
