"My husband and I went to Tidewater Bariatrics' orientation class and decided that day to do it. I've now lost 60 pounds and John has lost 120 pounds in only 7 months. We tried other diets before and even lost up to 40 pounds, but it all came back and then some. The main failure was doing it by ourselves. Now we're doing it with the support of Dr. Gaglione, her staff, and through interaction with other classmates who are going through the program with us. It absolutely makes a big difference. At one point, John and I didn't even go shopping at the mall or enjoy a walk because he was not able to walk for more than 10 minutes without stopping to rest. He consistently experienced joint pain and fatigue. But now, everything is different. We enjoy these and many new physical activities, and our energy level is much higher. In fact, we joined a fitness center and are exercising regularly. We have participated in a 5K race and within a month we plan to run/walk a 10K! John and I have even started playing tennis.
